Our Quantex PBT is a high-performance stabilised liquid antidust (binder) co-polymer of natural esters, acrylamides, long chain carboxylic groups and wetting agents, prepared using nonchemical technology. The functionality of the water-soluble co-copolymer is carefully formulated to enhance the binding onto surfaces, dust/powders and dry to give an excellent long lasting adhesive property.

 

Quantex PBT antidust adsorbs on the surface of solid particles present and affects liquid-solid interaction, resulting in achieving good agglomeration properties of dust/powder, leading to sustained dust reduction on road surfaces or on particles (e.g. fertilizer granulation process).

 

APPLICATION:

The optimum application level of Quantex PBT is dependent on dust level, surface conditions, particle morphology and the surface area requiring treatment. In some cases, and if necessary, Quantex PBT can be mixed with water for easier application and improved spread ability.  In cases where application requirement necessitates the use of other water-soluble additives such as lignin, polysaccharides, starch, etc, the SabiNano Product Technical Support team is always willing to offer guidance when blends are prepared.

 

The dilution ratio (if required) will depend on the surface treatment requirements. A good starting blend ratio is normally about 1: 2 parts of water (by weight) and can be increased to 1: 10 parts or higher. The final diluted blend is then applied by spraying onto dusty roads or added to the powder blends during granulation or binding of powders. It is important to note that Quantex PBT is water-soluble and is not recommended for coating high nitrogen fertiliser or products that are highly sensitive to moisture. As a rule, it is advisable to do laboratory tests/application trials to establish the best performance/application levels with consideration of the site requirement/treatment frequency or process condition.
